About the Publisher
Purple Plaid Chameleon Publishing LLC is an independent publishing company founded by Rod Thomas, creator and author of Silly Animal Limericks™.
Its first series brings together funny read-aloud rhymes, colorful animal characters and hidden surprises for children ages 3–7. Beyond these books, the company is a home for new stories and imaginative projects with a playful twist.
Curious Ideas. Colorful Worlds. Delightfully Askew.
Purple Plaid Chameleon Publishing LLC is built around stories and projects that celebrate curiosity, humor, imagination, wordplay, colorful characters and creative ideas that lean just a little sideways.
Why Purple Plaid Chameleon?
The name "Purple Plaid Chameleon Publishing" was inspired by Chad the Chameleon, one of the silly animal characters from the book Claire the Flamingo. In Chad’s story, he tries to change hue from dark green to blue, but things go a little sideways and he ends up purple — and plaid!
That colorful mishap became a fitting name for a publishing company built around curious ideas, colorful worlds and stories that are just a bit delightfully askew.
