About the Series
Silly Animal Limericks™ is a playful children’s picture book series built around funny five-line rhymes, colorful animal characters, expressive hand-drawn illustrations and hidden surprises waiting to be found.
The series is created and written by Rod Thomas, illustrated by Brian Martin and published by Purple Plaid Chameleon Publishing LLC.
The Silly Animal Limericks™ collection will continue to grow, with new books, new characters and plenty more ridiculous adventures still to come.
Different Ways to Enjoy the Stories
Some Silly Animal Limericks™ books follow one character through a longer limerick adventure, while others bring together several shorter stories or quick one-verse animal tales. The variety keeps the series fresh while giving families, classrooms and libraries different ways to read, share and revisit the characters.
Made for Read-Aloud Moments
The books are designed for read-aloud fun and silly moments for families, read-aloud groups, classrooms, libraries and anyone who enjoys silly, rhyming, animal wordplay.
Along the way, the stories naturally invite rhyme recognition, prediction, listening, visual observation and creative language play.
